Shannon started Prescott to close a gap he saw far too often: business owners unsure where they stood, left waiting for advice that came too late, or only hearing from their accountant once a year with no tax planning in sight.

Shannon Patterson, Founder & Director
Shannon grew up on a farm and learned early how real businesses work. After university he moved quickly into tax and advisory, bypassing the usual junior compliance path. That practical start shaped how he serves clients today. Shannon prefers conversations to paperwork, using meetings to uncover issues fast and turn them into clear actions. He insists on tax planning as a non-negotiable, then builds bespoke engagements around each client’s stage, budget, and in-house capability. A long-time early adopter of accounting technology, Shannon is part of an industry group that reviews and stress tests new technology in the accounting field. He’s valued as a strategic sounding board with strong technical depth, particularly across business and agribusiness.
Jessica Hulmes, Manager
I’m an experienced CPA with a background spanning tax, treasury and business advisory. My goal is to make business finances clear and stress-free. Whether it’s managing cash flow, meeting tax obligations, planning for growth, sale or succession, I provide practical advice tailored to your goals. With honesty, integrity and care at the core of my work, I help business owners gain confidence in their numbers so they can focus on what they do best.
Outside of work, you’ll find me spending time with family, keeping active at the gym, exploring new places, or tending to my ever-demanding garden.
Joan Salas, Senior Accountant
I’m an accounting professional with more than eight years’ experience, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Technology. I’m passionate about helping individuals and businesses achieve their best financial outcomes through accurate reporting, compliance and smart tax planning. I take pride in delivering reliable, insightful advice that supports sound decision-making and long-term success.
When I’m not at my desk, I love singing, travelling and relaxing by the beach. I bring vibrant energy to everything I do, both professionally and personally.
Mayriell Quebral, Intermediate Accountant
I’m an experienced accounting professional with a strong background in bookkeeping, financial reporting, audit preparation and tax compliance. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and am a Certified Public Accountant in the Philippines. I enjoy helping clients make sense of their accounts and keeping everything accurate and up to date. Working with a variety of clients and industries keeps me learning, adapting and finding new ways to make processes more efficient.
Outside of work, I love travelling, hiking and spending time at the beach with my family. When indoors, I relax by baking, cooking or binge-watching my favourite shows.
Jhoana Gueco, Bookkeeper
I’m an experienced Bookkeeper and Virtual Assistant with over seven years’ experience supporting businesses in accounting, real estate and professional services. Having completed a Computer Secretarial program and holding Xero certification, I bring strong administrative and cloud-based bookkeeping expertise. I’m reliable, detail-oriented and enjoy keeping things organised and running smoothly behind the scenes.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me camping, trying new foods, or going for a run to relieve stress and stay healthy.
